Computed Tomography Room
An up-to-date multislice spiral CT (MSCT)-cardiodiagnostics is performed on the basis of “M.D. Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology” MAS of Ukraine.
(MSCT)-coronary ventriculography is performed on a computerized tomograph „Light Speed-16” (General Electric Company, Japan) with data processing on a cardiological workstation „Advantage Workstation 4.2” (General Electric Company, U.S.A.).
(MSCT)- coronarography is performed with cardio-synchronization with the cardio-monitor „Millennia 3500 -CT” (U.S.A.).
At the time of MSCT-coronarography a doze of 120 – 150 mL of non-ionic iodic radiopaque substance (“Omnipak”, Ultravist”, “Vizipak”) is administered as a intravenous bolus injection at the rate of 4-5 mL per second with the help of two-bulb pressure infusor „Nemoto À-60” (Japan).
A quantitative analysis of coronary arteries calcinosis using a „Smart Score” program with coronary calcinosis index (²ÊÊ) calculation according to the method of Agatston is held for detection of atherosclerotic changes in vessels of coronary blood stream and for determination of presence, localization of atherosclerosis calcic plaque and extent of disease.
